Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) and The World Community Service Centre - Vethathiri Maharishi College of Yoga (WCSC-VMCY) on February 13, 2025, at Potheri, Katankulathur, Chengalpattu District. The objective of this collaboration is to work with the Directorate of Online and Distance Education (DODE) to offer a certificate course on Yoga for Human Excellence (YHE).

Program Educational Objectives:

  • To Equip students with knowledge and skills for their development of physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being.
  • To Foster values that enhance personality development.
  • To Promote emotional stability.
  • To Enable students to achieve occupational wellness.
  • To Improve the institutional climate within the campus.

  • Define and pursue short-term and long-term goals while avoiding negative influences.
  • Understand the dimensions of wellness which will help in achieving their goals.

  • 5-credit course, which have 5 units.
  • Around 125 hours, including 10 hours of personal contact sessions
  • Modular format under the e-learning process (virtual education)
